Tainted Justice
Towards the end of our second year, we created a metroidvania for a final project, and we chose an interesting theme involving witches and betrayals.

Tainted Justice - Trailer
Tainted Justice is the story of a witch, Gwendolyn, who was accidentally a part of a ritual that turned a man to beast, but by the time she could disagree, the spell was already cast. The humans heard of this, and a witch hunt was carried out. She and her friends were captured, tortured and left in prisons. This is her story of her escape, her justice.

Development
As the game was a Metroidvania, much of the work went into designing levels and GPI's. We used Tiled to create level layouts, which were then transferred to Unity, and GPI placement was done accordingly. I also created the backstory and plot of the game, to create immersion.
I've attached a GDD below, which will help understand how the game works. In the above slide show, the last picture is an example of how tiled maps looked like after completion.
